Wouldn’t the mesh prevent lint from leaving? Overtime this will cause a clog
I am trying this aluminum mesh procedure as well on my roof vent as well. I noticed during a hard, wind blow rain that the roof vent was leaking water. The vent wasn't cracked or damaged that I could see. I made sure to seal around the vent with a roof sealant. Hope this helps! Now, I just need another good storm to test. 🙂
Just waiting for some builder to say it's normal to have these things leak and not to worry about it. That design should never have been approved. They leak every time. Snow gets driven up under them, then sits in the attic til it warms up. Instant leak in my folk's bedroom light fixture.
water doesn't shoot up. Its prob under the shingles, prob nailed to close to the vent
