0:40 You might try "plumbers putty" for a quick rain resistant sealing job. Cons: contains clay and oil which might be hard to clean off.
You're funny! Wish I had found your stuff sooner. If you had a tube handy you could have run a couple beads of clear or white 100% silicone around that thing and been done with it. As long as it was done on a dry surface it would have been fine. In fact, there are compounds that can be applied to wet surfaces. But now Casie is gone so you don't have to worry about it.
Did you install this roof vent? If so how did you find that you needed a new one? It is a bummer living in the southeast in the summer and needing to work outside. I am sure that you don't miss that.
